Welcome to Sophia Garden

Sophia Garden is a 3-acre NOFA (Northeast Organic Farm Association) certified organic CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm on the property of the Motherhouse of the Sisters of St. Dominic in Amityville, New York.  In its 12th season it is among one of the first CSA NOFA certified organic farms on Long Island.  1 1/2 acres of the farm is cultivated to produce food for 110 families.

Sophia Garden offers its members the freshest, most delicious produce grown without pesticides.  Soil is nourished with organic matter, cover crop and through crop rotation.  Membership is nondenominational and open to all. Members buy shares, help work the farm and participate in the harvest.
